Does an AUTHORIZATION need to be notarized?

A letter of authorization allows the person it is written for to carry out the action specified in the letter. If a minor is riding a plane without an adult, a letter of authorization grants the airline permission to take temporary custody of the minor while they are riding.

A letter of authorization may need to be notarized if the recipient requires it, though this is not in every case.
